Tschierv in the Val Müstair
The six communities Tschierv, Fuldera, Lü, Valchava, Sta. Maria and Müstair are since the 1st of January 2009 the new town Val Müstair a valley of 198.65 square KM which is located in the most eastern part of Switzerland and bordering to Italy.
The valley can be reached from central Switzerland via the Vereina tunnel or some picturess mountains and the Ofenpass. From Italy you reach us via Bormio or Livigno and from Austria via the Reschenpass. The whole valley has only 1600 people and the local people speak romantsch which is an old latin language only spoken here.
Thanks to being close to the border most people speak 3 languages. The valley is still very natural and you will see the real Switzerland like you see on the adds on TV. With the only exception it is real and not fake. If you want you can help the local farmers or you can build your own single trails for your mountain bike. We also are a UNESCO world heritage with the monastery St. Johann.
